The Towson Junior Chamber 2011, A Life Less Ordinary!
The Towson Junior Chamber of Commerce is in its 59th year of assisting Towson and it's neighboring communities. The Jaycees (or Junior Chamber) is a worldwide community of young active citizens ages 18-40 who share the belief that in order to create positive change, we must take collective action to improve ourselves and the world around us. Engaging in activities ranging from community development to international projects, members demonstrate their social responsibility and improve themselves through participation, leadership and action.
Our goal is to provide leadership training through community service. The Individual Development area sets the Junior Chamber apart from other organizations. While many other groups offer community service and social activities, only Junior Chamber chapters offer members the opportunity for self-improvement. By chairing a local project, a young person can practice organization, delegation, time and resource management, public relations and motivational skills.
If you are interested in joining the Towson Junior Chamber, please contact President Meg Fletcher via email or call us at (410) 929-4852. We always have a full calendar of upcoming social, outdoor, and community events planned.
